CodeGrabber

In a domino infrastructure you or your administrators must allways answer the question:

Are there any problems in existing applications, if we make any changes in the Domino client / server system?

Especially you will have to answer this question, if you plan a Migration or Server consolidation (i.e. chechge your server plattform to UNIX) and/or a planned Clustering of your Domino Application Servers.

Except for the main applications mail, Calendar and Scheduling you will have additional applications (make or buy) within the most installations, which are called "enterprise critical" and who can lead to heavy disturbances in case of a failure.

An additional problem is the fact, that your Administration often do not know exactly, how many real different (not inherited) applications you will have and how complex the interaction of these applications among themselves is.

With the "CodeGrabber" you have now the possibility, to scan a whole domain within a short time, looking automatically for malicious code and classify the applications afterwards depending of the former results. This classification is accomplished automatically for each application and is based on many years of experiences in this area. It shows you at first sight, how complex your applications are and to what extent changes of code must be made.

Thus you have all informations in your hands, which you need for the analysis, cost estimation and the preparation for the code change. The administration has appropriate tools available, in order to mark the individual applications as changed, add comments, etc.
